iPhone users facing issues with their Face ID function
Several iPhone users are reportedly facing issues with their Face ID after the iOS beta update. As per reports, a new bug in iOS 15.7.1 beta is causing the Face ID to malfunction in the iPhones. Users were greeted with a ‘Face ID not available’ error every time they tried to use facial recognition on their iPhones.
While the bug is likely affecting many iPhone devices, the most affected ones are the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro models. Apple is yet to acknowledge the issue and release an update to fix the bug.
The company further also suggested to reset Face ID, restart the device, or add an alternate appearance in case the Face ID issue is not resolved. With the iOS 16 update, Apple brought back the battery percentage to newer iPhones. Previously, the feature was only limited to the newly released ones but the new update to iOS 16, brought the feature on iPhone XR, iPhone 11, the iPhone 12 mini, and the iPhone 13 mini.
A lot of devices are compatible with iOS 15 but not with iOS 16. The iPhone 6 and 6s, the first-generation iPhone SE, the seventh-generation iPod touch, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are all compatible with iOS 15 but not with iOS 16.
