Jio Haptik unveils SOLO AI platform, targets two million Indian solopreneurs in three years
Reliance Jio-backed Jio Haptik has introduced SOLO, an AI-native platform that automates marketing, sales and customer support for small businesses, aiming to help over two million Indian solopreneurs and MSMEs scale operations with AI by 2029.
Reliance Jio-backed conversational AI company Jio Haptik has launched SOLO, an AI-native platform designed to help solopreneurs and small businesses automate marketing, sales and customer support functions through autonomous AI teammates. Alongside the launch, the company announced its goal of empowering more than two million entrepreneurs and small businesses across India over the next three years by making enterprise-grade AI accessible regardless of business size, technical expertise or budget.
The announcement comes as India's vast micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector continues to embrace digital channels for customer engagement and business growth.
Addressing the challenges of India's MSME ecosystem
India has more than 65 million MSMEs, many of which are managed by entrepreneurs handling multiple business functions independently. From home bakers and boutique owners to coaches, clinics, salons, freelancers and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, many rely heavily on platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp to manage customer interactions and sales.
Jio Haptik said SOLO has been developed to automate content creation, customer engagement, lead generation, sales and customer support, allowing business owners to focus on expanding their operations instead of routine administrative tasks.

"Artificial Intelligence represents one of the biggest opportunities to level the playing field for entrepreneurs," said Ahshad Jussawala, Chief Executive Officer, Jio Haptik. "For years, large businesses have had the advantage of dedicated teams across marketing, sales and customer support, while smaller businesses have had to stretch every resource to keep up. We believe accessible AI and AI Teams can change that equation at scale”.
“Just as affordable digital connectivity unlocked unprecedented entrepreneurial opportunities over the past decade, AI Teams will be the next big technological shift for powering India's small business economy. With SOLO, we are putting an intelligent growth team in the hands of every entrepreneur - one that works around the clock to help them compete, grow and build with confidence. Our ambition is to empower more than two million solopreneurs and small businesses over the next three years," he added.
AI teammates designed for business growth
Unlike conventional AI agents that primarily respond to user prompts, SOLO functions as an autonomous AI business team capable of understanding a company's operations and proactively developing growth strategies.
The platform features two AI teammates—Tara, responsible for planning and executing marketing activities, and Ved, which manages sales and customer support. Together, they help businesses generate demand, engage customers and drive sales while allowing business owners to review and approve actions before they are executed.
According to Jio Haptik, the platform has been built using insights gathered from hundreds of solopreneurs and learnings from Interakt's customer base of more than 100,000 small and medium businesses. More than 10,000 businesses have already joined the platform through its early access programme, indicating growing interest in AI-driven business automation.
Saumil Shah, Chief Technology Officer at Jio Haptik, said, "The evolution of AI isn't about building better agents; it's about building systems that can take ownership of meaningful work. With SOLO, we've combined autonomous planning, execution, and continuous learning into an AI business team designed specifically for entrepreneurs.”
“Tara and Ved don't just respond to prompts; they understand business context, coordinate work across marketing, sales, and customer support, and continuously work towards measurable outcomes. We believe this shift from AI agents to AI teammates will redefine how millions of businesses operate over the coming decade, he added.”
Simplifying AI adoption for entrepreneurs
Business owners can begin using SOLO by connecting their website, Instagram page or uploading product images. The platform then analyses the business and automatically generates marketing campaigns, creates product visuals and videos, manages advertising campaigns, responds to customer queries on WhatsApp and follows up with potential customers until conversion.
Sharing her experience with the platform, Hirdyesh Mordani, founder of home bakery Hirdy-Mordy, said, “I was blown away by the power that Solo unleashed. I had my business setup on Solo in under 5 minutes. As soon as I uploaded a photo of my cookies and shared my Instagram page, Solo, learnt everything about my business and created stunning Instagram posts and video reels for my business in minutes. Within a few hours my first digital ad was live and a few hours later I even got my first customer. While Tara and Ved, take actions and speak to customers on my behalf, I am always in total control of the actions they take.”
Platform availability
Jio Haptik said SOLO is now available on both Android and iOS platforms. The service includes a free plan, while premium subscriptions start at ₹2,000 per month.
The company believes that as AI adoption accelerates across India, intelligent AI teammates could play a significant role in enabling millions of entrepreneurs to scale their businesses with limited resources, marking the next phase of digital transformation for the country's small business ecosystem.
