The anti-virus software millionaire John McAfee was arrested by police in Guatemala for entering the country illegally. This has been stated by Mauricio Lopez Bonilla, the interior minister of the Central American country.
Earlier John McAfee requested asylum in Guatemala after fleeing from Belize where he fears for his safety. He feels that corrupt officials have framed him for neighbour's murder. McAfee says he is being hounded by Belize's police as he refused to pay out some $2 million to the country’s ruling party as donation.
McAfee has been named by the Belize police as a person of interest in an investigation over the murder of his neighbour Gregory Faull.
McAfee built fortune as founder of the antivirus software company which bears his name. He sold the company in 1994 and has since cut ties with the antivirus firm.
