The Cyber Security Association of India (CSAI) has appointed Khushhal Kaushik as its new Director General, marking a strategic move to strengthen India’s cybersecurity framework amid growing digital threats.
According to CSAI, Kaushik’s leadership will focus on enhancing collaboration between government and industry, expanding nationwide awareness efforts, and building a strong pipeline of skilled cybersecurity professionals.
Kaushik, who is the Founder and CEO of Lisianthus Tech, steps into the role after more than a decade of association with CSAI, including serving as Vice President. His elevation is being seen as a shift toward more execution-driven leadership within the organization.
Kaushik has led the “Cyber Shikshit Bharat” initiative, aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness across the country, and has previously engaged with former President Ram Nath Kovind to advance the mission.
Kaushik is a recipient of the Glory of India Award and has been acknowledged for his efforts in building cybersecurity talent pipelines through training programs, workshops, and industry partnerships. His work has contributed to bridging the skill gap in India’s rapidly growing digital economy.
His appointment comes at a crucial juncture, with cybersecurity emerging as a cornerstone of national security and economic resilience in an increasingly digital world.
