Targeting over 200 service centres in the next one year, OPPO India has announced its plans for an aggressive service network expansion in India. OPPO currently retails in 12 major cities - New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Pune and Lucknow. Recently, OPPO launched its 3G-enabled budget smartphone OPPO Joy in the India Market, targeting the young generation and first-time smartphone users.

Available at a price of Rs.8,990, the new full-touch OPPO Joy comes with a sleek exquisite look, ColorOS (based on Android4.2), dual-SIM capabilities and a unique feature called Hotknot. Hotknot not only enables faster, limitless transmission but secure file sharing as well. This impressive technology takes low-power consumption and offers fast transmission speed at zero cost. OPPO Joy is the first smartphone in the Indian market to equip this technology.

According to Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO India, “Industry reports predict that India is poised to emerge as the third-largest smartphone market in the world by 2017 with a major proportion of the buyers being new users. There is a scarcity of affordable smartphones with high-end features in India. The new OPPO Joy will go a long way in bridging this gap and making more and more people enjoy the feeling of possessing a smartphone in the true sense.”

Till now, OPPO currently has five phone models available in the Indian market with a target product portfolio of over 10 smartphones by the end of the year. The company will be targeting a mix of multi-brand retail and channel partners, small format stores and self-branded stores for the network expansion drive.
