ESS Software Distribution & Consulting Private Limited has appointed Pankaj Jain as the Director effective from 1st November, 2010. He will lead the ESS distribution operations in India.
Jain brings in more than 12 years of proven experience and expertise in channel sales, business development and product management, to his role as Director at ESS. His core competency lies in the antivirus domain. He had been responsible for successfully introducing and establishing brands like Kaspersky and BitDefender to the Indian AV market in the past.
In his new role, Jain will effectively manage the growing distribution channel network, go-to-market plans to build relationships, drive sales of ESET products in the Indian market and lead the ESS business operations in India.
Pankaj Jain said, "We have very strong ESET product portfolio which can cater to the SOHO as well as enterprise segment for their IT security requirements. We are focussed to create a niche for the ESET products and position the ESET brand among the top 5 AV vendors in the Indian market. We are receiving overwhelming response from the market. In the retail antivirus segment too, within six months of the launch, we already are shipping out over 12,000 boxes per month in the Indian market. The Indian AV market is growing and I see an incredible opportunity for growth and continued success for ESET products in India."
