PM Hails Armed Forces in First National Address on Operation Sindoor

 

 

 

In a powerful and emotionally charged national address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi saluted the valor and precision of the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor, India’s bold cross-border counter-terrorism strike launched on May 7. The prime-time PM Modi speech 2025 was his first public statement since the operation was executed, and it struck a deep patriotic chord across the nation.

Addressing the nation from New Delhi, PM Modi declared that Operation Sindoor was a "resounding message" to those who attempt to disturb India’s peace and integrity. The mission, which targeted nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), has been described as one of the most precise and decisive retaliatory operations in recent years.

According to government sources, the strike neutralized over 100 terrorists and severely damaged militant camps believed to be linked to the perpetrators of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of several Indian security personnel and civilians.

 

During the PM Modi national address, the Prime Minister emphasized India's unwavering stance on national security and said the operation was a 'strategic and moral imperative'. He assured citizens that the government remains deeply committed to defending India’s borders and ensuring that such attacks do not go unanswered.

“India will never compromise on its sovereignty and security. The success of Operation Sindoor is a tribute to our brave soldiers and a testament to India’s determination,” PM Modi added.

The speech was delivered after a high-level security meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and senior military officials. Modi used the platform to extend the nation’s gratitude to the Indian Army, Air Force, and intelligence agencies for their synchronized efforts, calling their performance “extraordinary” and deserving of national recognition.

 

While Operation Sindoor was executed with surgical precision, it was followed by a mutual ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan—a move that has left geopolitical analysts watching closely. Modi’s address struck a careful balance between celebrating military success and emphasizing India’s desire for long-term peace in the region.

The Prime Minister concluded by urging citizens to stand united and support the armed forces while maintaining communal harmony and national solidarity. “Let this be a moment not just of victory but of unity. A strong India is not built by weapons alone, but by the strength of its people and their shared resolve,” he said.
