Quick Heal Technologies has launched Seqrite NOVA Data Privacy, an AI-powered offering designed to help small and medium businesses manage personal data and support compliance efforts under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
Announced on November 3 through the company’s enterprise cybersecurity brand Seqrite, the offering targets small office/home office (SOHO) businesses, small and medium businesses (SMBs), and mid-enterprises. It is available in three editions—Lite, Essentials and Professional—allowing organisations to select capabilities according to their operational requirements and privacy management needs.
According to the company, NOVA is designed to reduce manual intervention and dependence on specialist IT skills, helping businesses establish privacy processes and expand them as their operations grow.
AI-based data discovery and classification
The platform uses AI to discover and classify personal data across endpoints, cloud applications, databases and unstructured files. It can also recognise text within scanned documents and images, helping teams identify sensitive information that requires protection.
Seqrite said these capabilities are intended to reduce repetitive data reviews and improve visibility across repositories that may otherwise be difficult for smaller teams to monitor.
NOVA also incorporates an AI translation engine for customer consent interfaces, privacy notices and cookie preference menus. The company said it supports 22 officially recognised Indian languages, with human review controls retained to oversee translated content.
Privacy tools for smaller businesses
“Navigating India’s DPDP compliance shouldn’t be a complex, resource-heavy ordeal for growing businesses,” said Harish Kumar GS, Chief Executive Officer, Quick Heal Technologies Limited. “With Seqrite NOVA, we have democratized enterprise-grade privacy technology. Whether you are a SOHO operating a few systems, an SMB scaling up, or a Mid-Enterprise managing large volumes of customer data, NOVA offers a tailored, AI-powered path to accelerate DPDP compliance with minimal manual intervention, limited reliance on specialist IT skills, and an investment matched to your needs.”
The company said the tiered approach allows businesses to begin with the capabilities they require and add functionality as data volumes and privacy requirements increase. The offering is positioned to address resource constraints in smaller organisations and the complexity of managing personal data in growing enterprises.
Consent, rights requests and breach workflows
Across the offering, NOVA provides visibility into sensitive personal files on devices and data leakage prevention controls intended to limit accidental or unauthorised exposure.
Its consent and preference management capabilities automate website cookie preferences and capture, track and manage customer consent across digital touchpoints.
The platform also includes automated workflows for handling Data Principal requests relating to data access, correction and erasure. Additional modules support privacy impact assessments and data breach notification response workflows.
Through these capabilities, Seqrite aims to bring data discovery, consent records, rights management and privacy operations into a unified offering for businesses at different stages of growth.
