According to a latest update, Reliance Communications is in deliberate conversations with Bahrain Telecommunications Company for including the stake sale of Batelco into its global communications service business unit.
This way, Reliance is planning to expand its business by merging the sales of Batelco.
Reliance Communications spokesperson said, "The company note recent reports in the press and confirm that it is in discussions with Batelco Group with respect to Reliance Globalcom, the Company's global communications services business unit.”
Adding further it said, “At this point, there can be no certainty that this will lead to a transaction. So, an announcement will be made in this regard in due course of time.”
