Reliance Jio enters the hardware space for home artificial intelligence with Jio TeleFrame
Reliance Jio has officially entered the hardware space for home artificial intelligence, unveiling Jio TeleFrame at the company’s 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM). Styled as a centralized anchor for the modern smart home, the new device is positioned as a family of AI agents designed to seamlessly streamline everyday life, ranging from e-commerce to smart appliance automation.
Jio TeleFrame is designed to serve as the unified operational hub for multiple AI tools, allowing various automated agents to communicate, coordinate, and execute daily household operations from a single touchpoint. According to Jio, TeleFrame is designed as a voice-first, agentic AI system for the home.
The device will serve as a hub that controls various AI agents for guests, entertainment, shopping and the connected home. Each agent has a specific role, but TeleFrame gives them one shared place to help, act and remain visible to the family, always with permission and in every Indian language.
Jio states that these agents will understand the family, its routines and the room around them, sensing context so that the right help comes forward without anyone opening apps, searching menus or repeating what the home should already understand.
The entertainment agent on the TeleFrame can also open JioHotstar, adjust the lights and volume, and keep score. Jio presented these as different agents with one focus, positioning TeleFrame as more than a basic media or entertainment product.
