Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong took a selfie with South Korea President Lee Lee Jae Myung, and PM Narendra Modi using an India-Made Galaxy Z Flip7. Samsung Electronics’ Newsroom Instagram posted the photo featuring the Chairman with the President, and Prime Minister. The photo was during a luncheon hosted by Modi at Hyderabad House, India’s official guest house for visiting foreign leaders.
The video is now going viral.
The smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip7 is foldable and lean and is part of the Z Flip series of Samsung.
According to observers, Samsung Chairman Lee's selfie with Modi and the Korean President was symbolic of both the foldable tech and the firm's economic integration with India.
Samsung is a key part of the government's 'Make in India' initiative. Samsung also asserted that it has been producing smartphones, wearables, and tablets in Noida since 1996, and that both flagship and budget models are manufactured at the facility. A recent report added that Samsung was adding laptops to the list.
The Noida facility now operates the second-largest global mobile manufacturing unit in India and is popularly known to be India’s second-largest handset exporter after Apple.
India and South Korea inked 15 agreements, including one to set up an industrial cooperation framework to boost ties, as the Korean President visited India for a 3-day official trip.
