The Western Digital Director-India & South Asia, Subroto Das has resigned from his position recently. He was responsible for leading India & South Asia team for Components (Internal Drives), Branded (External Drives) and SMB (Cloud Solutions) businesses, Distributor-Reseller model. He also looked after delivering revenue, growth and market share numbers in the region. He was associated with the company since 2013.
Prior to this he also held responsible positions such as Vice President-System Storage Group-India & South Asia at IBM from 2011-13, Chief Operating Officer-India & SAARC, EMC from 2009 till 2011. Apart from IBM and EMC he was associated with HP from 1997 to 2007 in various positions and also with Cisco.
He started his career as a Regional Sales Manager-Telecom in Wipro Infotech. He holds an engineering degree from Bengal Engineering and Science University and an MBA in Finance from Faculty of Management Studies - University of Delhi.
