Telenor India appoints Anurag Prasad as head of communications

Telenor India has appointed Anurag Prasad as the head of communications and social responsibility with effect from September 16, 2016.

Anurag currently heads external communication and will take over from Pooja Thakran, head - social responsibility & chief communications officer, Telenor India who is moving on to take care of personal priorities. Anurag will report in to Pankaj Sharma, chief corporate affairs officer, Telenor India.

Anurag has been associated with Telenor India for last 2 years. He is a veteran in journalism and carries prolific knowledge in the telecom sector with over seventeen years of experience. Prior to joining Telenor India, he served Fortune India as senior editor. Through the path of his professional life, apart from Fortune, he has worked with some of the finest and leading periodicals in India such as Outlook Business and Voice & Data.

Pooja Thakran joined Telenor India in November 2012 and has since contributed tremendously towards the growth of Telenor India's business. As part of the management team, she established Telenor India as a corporate brand name among media and received accolades for several initiatives in the social responsibility area.
