Cyber threats are increasingly becoming prevalent day by day and are affecting the computer networks and paralyzing nations. Thus, it has become essential to implement law-enforcement programmes against cybercrime. These programmes require high-level of technical expertise and large-scale cross-jurisdictional investigations. Eventually to address these challenges, Trend Micro has announced its collaboration with INTERPOL to support the global lawenforcement programmes against the complex cyber-attacks. Trend Micro, will support INTERPOL with its expertise in mitigating cyber threats.
Â
Furthermore, Trend Micro will deliver training programmes to INTERPOL, government, police organizations in various countries and major companies providing best practices to address emerging digital crime at the national and international level. Training will encompass e-learning modules, classroom-based training sessions, workshops and/or professional certifications, based on overall goals and learning objectives.
Â
In response, INTERPOL will establish the centre of excellence for cybercrime named INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) in Singapore towards facilitating international cooperation. IGCI will seek to implement an alliance with multi-stakeholders, including Internet security specialists from the private sector, to leverage their respective expertise and resources for the benefit of global law-enforcement agencies fighting cybercrime.
Â
The alliance with INTERPOL will enable Trend Micro to fulfil its corporate vision of establishing “A World Safe for Exchanging Digital Information”.
