Umang Bedi,
Managing Director, South Asia, Adobe
With the new government coming to power, we see the onset of digitalization in India. The government has grand plans to revolutionaries every aspect, from education to banking. This is an ethos of opportunities for us and we aspire to amplify it to the fullest. Adobe intends to change the world through digital experiences. We are powering more than 18,000 villages across Gujarat with Adobe Acrobat for the electronic issue of vital citizen certificates and other official documents under the E-Gram project. Thousands of magazines and newspapers use Adobe for digital streaming on smart devices. With the most comprehensive set of marketing solutions Adobe powers the digital marketing experiences of many online shopping portals like Makemytrip, Jabong and many more. With our education solutions we desire to transform the classroom and the education industry; by instilling digital skills and communication skills across schools, colleges and universities. It is our firm belief that the dream of a digital India will be a reality soon.
The low broadband connectivity can act as a hurdle in the journey towards digitalization. As the government is taking huge steps towards increasing this connectivity, we will soon overcome this barrier. The government has already set a target of providing broadband connectivity to 2.5 lakh villages and making as many schools Wi-Fi enabled by 2019, under the Digital India Program.
There are impediments to every radical change; however, the conviction to realize this dream of creating a digital India is immense in the present day.
