Wipro Limited has announced that it has received the āNASSCOM Corporate Award for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion, 2012ā, in the category āMost Effective Implementation of Practices & Technology for Persons with Disabilitiesā. The award was presented to Wipro at the recent NASSCOM Diversity and Inclusion Summit 2012.

Isaac George, Vice President - HR and Head, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Initiatives, Wipro Ltd. said, āThis award is a reflection of our sustained efforts in making Wipro more inclusive and creating meaningful careers for persons with disabilities. It also recognizes the contribution of many people, and we hope that this would spur us on to even greater accountability and momentum.ā

Ā Wipro has introduced several initiatives to support the careers of persons with disabilities. These include making physical and IT infrastructure accessible, transforming software applications to suit people with disabilities, designing more inclusive training programs and building awareness through campaigns.
