World Leaders Summit 2026 honors Ingram Micro’s Sanjib Sahoo for AI and platform leadership
Sanjib Sahoo, President of the Global Platform Group at Ingram Micro, was named a “Global Icon for AI, Platform & Business Transformation” at the World Leaders Summit 2026, which took place on March 23 at the iconic Library of Congress in Washington D.C.
The recognition highlights Sahoo’s leadership in advancing AI-driven platforms that are reshaping how businesses operate at global scale, bridging technology innovation with measurable business outcomes.
The World Leaders Summit convenes policymakers, diplomats, industry leaders, and innovators to address challenges at the intersection of technology, business, and global development. This year’s theme, “Reshaping Global Impact: Innovation, Sustainability & Inclusive Development,” focused on the role of leadership in driving meaningful and inclusive progress.
As a featured speaker, Sahoo addressed the evolving challenges organizations face in adopting AI, emphasizing the importance of starting with business and operational gaps rather than technology alone, and underscoring the human dimension of transformation. His keynote titled “Future of AI: Rewiring Global Commerce” highlighted how artificial intelligence is moving from experimentation to becoming a foundational layer for decision-making, business models, and global economic systems.
“Intelligence is the new operating system,” said Sahoo. “But transformation doesn’t start with technology—it starts with purpose and mindset. Great leaders don’t push innovation; they humanize it.”
During the Summit's awards ceremony, Sahoo was honored for his pioneering work in building Xvantage, Ingram Micro’s AI-powered digital platform, which is regarded as one of the most advanced B2B operating systems in the technology distribution industry. With more than 42 million lines of code created and implemented, and multiple technology patents approved and dozens pending, Ingram Micro's innovative platform leverages data at scale and uses hundreds of AI/ML models to modernize and automate complex workflows, enabling partners, vendors, and customers to operate with greater speed, intelligence, and efficiency.
“What an honor—thank you to the World Leaders Summit,” Sahoo added. “This recognition reflects the work of teams rethinking how businesses operate and how people engage in an AI-first world. The industry is at an inflection point where AI and platforms are becoming the operating system for the global economy. But technology alone is not enough—transformation is a journey, and it must remain deeply human.”
At Ingram Micro, Sahoo leads the company’s global platform and AI initiatives, driving enterprise-wide transformation and positioning the organization as a next-generation, AI-powered B2B platform company. A frequent speaker on AI and digital transformation, he is widely respected for translating emerging technologies into practical business impact. Sanjib's career history spans multiple industries, with a consistent focus on driving innovation at scale.
The Global Icon award, presented as part of the World Leadership Legacy Series, recognizes individuals whose work is shaping industries, economies, and the future of global collaboration.
