Adobe expands AI capabilities in Acrobat and Express to boost productivity and creativity
Adobe has unveiled new AI-powered features across Acrobat and Adobe Express, enabling users to create presentations, edit PDFs through chat, generate podcast-style summaries and collaborate more efficiently across work, education and personal projects.
Adobe has introduced a new set of AI-driven features across Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Express, aiming to help users work faster, create impactful content and collaborate more effectively in an increasingly demanding digital environment. The updates bring together productivity and creativity tools, enhanced by artificial intelligence, to simplify everyday tasks across professional and personal use cases.
The company said the new capabilities are designed to help users extract insights quickly from documents, transform information into polished content and manage collaboration more seamlessly, without requiring advanced design or technical expertise.
AI-powered presentations from documents
One of the key additions is the new “Generate presentation” feature in Acrobat, which allows users to turn documents into presentation decks within minutes. Using AI, users can generate an outline from PDFs and supporting materials and then convert it into a fully designed presentation.
The feature integrates with Adobe Express, giving users access to a library of professional templates. Presentations can be customised for length, tone and style, while users can edit slides, swap images, add videos, adjust fonts or animate content without leaving Acrobat. Teams can also collaborate on final edits and apply brand elements for consistency.
Chat-based PDF editing and smart assistance
Adobe has also introduced enhanced chat-based AI capabilities in Acrobat. Users can now perform common PDF tasks by simply describing what they want to do, such as removing pages, editing text, replacing words, adding e-signatures or securing files with passwords.
An upgraded Help Panel further supports users with step-by-step guidance and troubleshooting through conversational AI, making document management faster and more intuitive.
Podcast-style audio summaries for on-the-go use
Another notable feature is the “Generate podcast” tool in Acrobat, which converts documents, notes and transcripts into audio-style summaries. Designed for hands-free consumption, the feature helps users prepare for meetings, catch up on missed information or absorb lengthy reports while on the move.
Beyond work, the audio summaries can also be used for personal needs, such as turning educational guides into lessons, compiling family updates or following news in a more accessible format.
Enhanced collaboration with PDF spaces
Adobe has expanded collaboration tools within PDF Spaces, an AI-powered workspace that allows users to organise files, extract insights and work together in one place. New features let teams and clients add documents, leave notes and share feedback, helping speed up decision-making.
These updates are bundled into Acrobat Studio, which combines PDF tools, smart workspaces, AI assistants and content creation features. Adobe said the platform caters to a wide range of users, including sales teams, marketers, legal professionals, students and families, reinforcing its push to blend productivity and creativity through AI-powered experiences.
