India has launched a powerful response to terrorism with Operation Sindoor, a mission marked not just by military precision but by deep emotional symbolism.
Named after sindoor—the traditional vermilion worn by married Hindu women—the operation honours the lives of those lost in the April 22 Pahalgam attack, where 26 civilians were killed, including many husbands targeted for their faith.
Initiated on May 7, the operation reflects a shift in India’s strategy—moving from restraint to a measured, strategic offensive.
The Indian Air Force carried out targeted strikes on nine terrorist hideouts across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating bases of banned groups including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
INDIA HITS PAKISTAN
The mission underscores India’s fight not against a nation, but against the terror networks harboured within it.
In a rare display of global solidarity, countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, France, Israel, and the Netherlands have supported India's right to defend itself, while also calling for restraint.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an address to political leaders, called for unity and resilience, urging all parties to back the Armed Forces who are risking their lives to protect the nation.
This operation is a reminder of both personal loss and national resolve.
As the country grieves and stands behind its soldiers, let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers, and remain united in the face of threats.
Jai Hind!
