Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), through its subsidiary Reliance Intelligence, has announced a strategic partnership with Google to accelerate AI adoption across India, aligning with Reliance’s vision of "AI for All." This collaboration combines Reliance’s vast scale, connectivity, and ecosystem reach with Google’s cutting-edge AI technology to democratize AI access and strengthen India’s digital infrastructure.
One key initiative is Google AI Pro, which will be offered free for 18 months to eligible Jio users. This package includes premium access to Google Gemini 2.5 Pro models, enhanced image and video generation capabilities, and 2TB of cloud storage, all activated via the MyJio app. The rollout prioritizes young users initially and aims for nationwide coverage swiftly.
Reliance is also collaborating with Google Cloud to expand access to advanced AI hardware accelerators, Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), supporting the nation’s push for sovereign, clean-energy-powered AI compute infrastructure. This will empower organizations to train and deploy complex AI models faster, advancing India’s AI ecosystem.
Further, Reliance Intelligence becomes a strategic partner for Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise platform, enabling Indian businesses to utilize an AI platform offering Google’s best AI tools alongside Reliance’s proprietary AI agents for diverse enterprise applications.
Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani emphasized making intelligent services accessible to all Indians, driving innovation and growth. Google CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted their long-standing partnership and the transformative potential of AI for consumers and businesses across India.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in India’s AI journey, combining world-class technology with local scale and energy to empower communities, enterprises, and developers. It underpins India’s aspiration to become a global AI powerhouse by fostering accessible, AI-driven innovation through cutting-edge infrastructure and ecosystem collaboration.
