Israel Deploys Barak Magen System as Hostilities with Iran Deepen

Hostilities between Israel and Iran entered their fourth consecutive day on Monday, marked by relentless missile exchanges and airstrikes. In a historic first, Israel deployed its advanced Barak Magen air defence system amid intensifying conflict.

The Israel and Iran situation escalated dramatically following Israeli strikes on Iran’s defense ministry in Tehran and alleged facilities linked to its nuclear program, including a major gas field.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a statement, accused Iran of plotting against former U.S. President Donald Trump, highlighting the scale of the geopolitical stakes.

Reports also emerged that Trump had previously blocked an Israeli proposal to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Iran, rejecting ceasefire talks while under attack, communicated its stance through diplomatic channels in Qatar and Oman. 

Tehran launched successive drone and missile strikes over the past 24 hours, targeting Israeli territory, while Israel retaliated with further precision attacks, reportedly killing a senior Iranian military commander.

The human toll continues to rise, with Iran reporting 224 civilian deaths and Israel confirming 14 fatalities and hundreds injured. 

Despite rising tensions, Trump has urged both nations to pursue a diplomatic resolution.
