
The second phase of the Prime Minister's Internship Program has officially begun with the launch of a dedicated PM Internship Mobile App. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and streamline the application process for aspiring interns across India. The announcement was made by Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who emphasized the importance of greater corporate participation in the flagship PM Internship Scheme Phase 2.

The decision to introduce the mobile app for internships stemmed from feedback received from candidates who faced challenges in registering through computers or Common Service Centres. With the new PM Internship Mobile App, applicants can now easily browse, apply, and track their internship applications directly from their smartphones, making the process more user-friendly and efficient.
Minister Sitharaman highlighted that the PM Internship Scheme is a crucial step in preparing young professionals for the job market. She encouraged more companies to join the initiative, stating that their participation not only nurtures talent but also contributes to national economic growth. As part of Internship Phase 2 Launch, a total of 325 companies have already listed over 1.18 lakh internship opportunities, offering young aspirants valuable hands-on experience across various sectors.
