AMD today introduced the Ryzen™ Embedded 9000 Series processors, bringing the next generation of performance, efficiency, and reliability to demanding industrial sectors, including industrial PCs, automation systems, and machine vision applications.
Built on the advanced AMD "Zen 5" architecture using a 4nm process, these processors are designed to deliver industry-leading performance-per-watt and low latency. The series offers a new foundation for industrial customers to scale secure, future-ready solutions with maximum flexibility.
Performance and Scalability
The Ryzen Embedded 9000 Series packs up to 16 high-performance cores and features configurable thermal design power (TDP) from 65W to 170W, allowing systems to be tailored for energy-conscious control systems or high-throughput machine vision.
Key performance features include:
● Support for the AVX-512 instruction set for accelerating AI inference and video processing.
● Advanced I/O with DDR5 memory, PCIe® Gen 5 connectivity, and up to 128MB of cache via AMD 3D V-Cache™ technology.
● Integrated AMD RDNA™ 2 graphics architecture, providing cost-effective visualization without the need for discrete GPUs.
● Expansive connectivity, including WiFi 6E and high-speed I/O, ensuring adaptability for future technologies.
Long-Term Reliability and Security
Industrial deployments demand platforms that last. The 9000 Series is designed for the long haul, leveraging the AMD AM5 socket for easy backward- and forward-compatibility.
Crucially, the processors offer up to seven years of product availability and reliability, with Ryzen PRO embedded SKUs extending this commitment to up to 10 years. For critical operations, AMD PRO technologies provide multilayered protection and seamless manageability, including Platform Secure Boot and Memory Guard for full memory encryption, helping systems defend against evolving cyber threats from the factory floor to medical devices.
The AMD Ryzen Embedded 9000 Series delivers a platform built for endurance and innovation, empowering system designers to create solutions that are both dependable and forward-looking.
