Kaspersky Lab welcomes the Facebook's initiative to develop a special AV Marketplace app where users of the most popular social network can find special offers for security software. This new approach is said to have the potential to better educate users about online and social media threats and enhance their level of security.
Kaspersky Lab claimed, "We are currently looking at ways to make ourselves even more helpful for Facebook users, using our award-winning products, latest technologies and leading expertise. It is worth nothing that security solutions like Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 already protect Facebook users from various online threats, including an automatic block on harmful websites and phishing web pages. It is possible that Kaspersky Lab will join the Facebook AV Marketplace program, Kaspersky Lab will join the Facebook AV Marketplace program, but we are also considering other options to provide the best protection to users of social networks."
