The Sweet Spot Verticals
The Large Retailers, Public Sector, (Homeland Security), Banking & Financial Services, Travel/Transit, and Utilities are Sparsh's major target verticals. Key uses in Retail include monitoring both customers and employees for fraud (altering price tags, etc.) and theft, and monitoring purchasing behaviour. The Public Sector is very strong in opportunity, key uses include security surveillance for high-crime or other hot spots, monitoring buildings or security checkpoints, monitoring of high-security processes money printing, military. CCTV is used in Travel & transit for both security surveillance passport control, runway monitoring and for traffic/service monitoring. Financial Services is growing strongly - estimated at 52% annually. Key boundary to market penetration is banks do not show strong desire to replace analog systems as in other verticals. Many banks globally see analog system as sufficient.
The Distribution Network
Sparsh has a PAN India network with more than 500 resellers compromising of franchisees, distributors, dealers, channel partners, system integrators and OEMs. Sanjeev Sehgal, Managing Director, Sparsh asserts, "We have franchisee in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Orissa, Maharashtra, Punjab, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Mumbai. This covers majorly the Southern, Eastern and Northern part of India. We also aspire to have worldwide presence, and therefore we are participating in international security trade shows INTERSEC in Dubai & SECURITY CHINA 2012 in Beijing, wherein we want to spot the potential distributors and dealers for our range of CCTV Surveillance products."

Technically aligning the R&D with the global leaders in this domain Sparsh has given its R&D team the exposure where they could match and even supersede many. Getting the expertise from world's top two companies; Sony Electronics and Sharp Electronics in the Analog domain, Sparsh today is manufacturing world class products in the analog domain. In IP, getting expertise from the top company Texas Instruments, Sparsh is developing next generation IP security products. Having a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at SIDCUL with more than 6000 sq. ft. in SIDCUL, Haridwar, they have ramped up their manufacturing unit area in this fiscal and have added 1800 sq. ft. more due to increased demand of its products. The company also looks forward to have another Unit foreseeing the future demand.

The road ahead
Last year was full of challenges and achievements for Sparsh. The company was been able to meet its targets, add in new products; streamline the after sales service thus adding complete experience for its customers. Sparsh has pioneered the launch of 650 TVL Bravura series which utilizes the latest chip technology from Sony, the EffioE. Bravura received a relatively good market response. Sparsh has been listed among the Top 100 most trusted companies in India by VARINDIA Brand Book. The company foresees exports as one of the biggest opportunity for "Made in India" security equipments and having started exporting to countries like Vietnam, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy and Belgium. A major boost to its export plan is that Sony Electronics is exhibiting their top 35 partners across world on their booth in whichever exhibition they participate in and Sparsh is among the top preferred partners across world.
