Calsoft Labs has announced availability of a range of professional services to support network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) and telecom operators to use the Intel Data Plane Development Kit (Intel DPDK) to design, develop and deploy network functions with industry-leading packet processing performance using Intel architecture-based platforms.
“The Intel DPDK continues to see great momentum and traction in the industry, and is becoming an increasingly important foundation for SDN and NFV solutions. Intel is pleased to see Calsoft Labs supporting Intel DPDK customers to develop and roll out new and enhanced products and services, and accelerate revenue streams,” said Stephen Price, GM Communications Infrastructure Group, Intel Corporation.
Telecom operators are increasingly looking to Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) to reduce CapEx and OpEx while accelerating the ability to develop and deploy new, revenue-generating services. Intel platforms allow applications and network functions to be implemented in a single, scalable multi-core architecture with up to 10x improvement in data plane processing performance using Intel DPDK.
