Twitter co-founder Biz Stone is planning to say goodbye to the official roles with the microblogging sensation, and has decided to take the backseat. In a blog post on Tuesday, the 37-year-old entrepreneur said that, though he would continue to work with the company, he wanted to "get out of the way".
"My work on Twitter has spanned more than half a decade and I will continue to work with the company for many years to come," read the blog. "During this time, especially lately, it has come to my attention that the Twitter crew and its leadership team have grown incredibly productive. I have decided that the most effective use of my time is to get out of the way until I am called upon to be of some specific use."
