The Walt Disney Studios has announced the release of its Blu-ray 3D discs for the Indian households. Disney is the first Studio to launch the Blu-ray 3D content in the Indian market. Immediately hitting the shelves are international hits TRON Legacy and box office smash tangled.
"Disney continues to provide consumers with greater entertainment choices and we are focussed on making the experience more real and engaging. With the launch of Blu-ray 3D, we hope to offer consumers a true 3-dimensional experience in the comforts of their homes," said K. Seshasaye, Executive Director, Marketing and Distribution, The Walt Disney Studios, India. "Disney promises to provide an enthralling and richer experience and connect with our fans in India in a deeper, richer way than ever before," he added.
In September 2011, Disney will release 16 more titles in Blu-ray 3D in India. The titles will include Disney's most beloved animated classics like Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol, Bolt and many more. Disney will also release over 35 titles on Blu-ray 3D in 2012.
