eScan has announced its support and participation in the Earth Hour 2010 initiative. As a part of its “Go Green” initiative, eScan had already taken a stand as an environmentally conscious Company by re-branding itself to green last year.Â
Â
The Earth Hour 2010 is a global initiative to make a stand against climate change. It is a global call to all concerned people to take responsibility and get involved in working towards creating a sustainable future and voice their support by switching off lights on March 27, 2010 from 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM. Apart from switching off at their own business premises, eScan is also encouraging its worldwide employees and partners to be a part of this initiative.Â
Â
Govind Rammurthy, CEO & Managing Director of eScan, added, "The eScan support systems will be fully functional including Updates and Registration Servers and the eScan technical support team will be available through Phone/Fax/Email and Live chat utilizing minimal energy resources. We, at eScan, will continue to support and participate in such initiatives to spread awareness on climate change issues in future too. We firmly believe that by encouraging people to give a voice on the future of our planet and working together, we can create a sustainable low-carbon emission standard for the future for our planet."
