ESDS Rs.720-Crore IPO Opens August 28
AI-enabled cloud and data centre services provider ESDS Software Solution Ltd is set to launch its Rs.720-crore initial public offering (IPO) on August 28, with the issue closing on September 1. The company has fixed a price band of Rs.408–Rs.429 per share, while anchor investors can bid on August 27.
The IPO consists entirely of a fresh issue of equity shares, with no Offer-for-Sale component. ESDS plans to use approximately Rs.576 crore of the proceeds to purchase and install cloud computing equipment and strengthen infrastructure across its data centres. The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes.
Founded in 2005, ESDS provides cloud computing, managed services, data centre infrastructure and software solutions. The company has also built capabilities across GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), positioning itself to benefit from India's rapidly expanding demand for AI computing infrastructure.
ESDS was among India's early providers of community cloud services, addressing customers with stringent requirements around data privacy, cybersecurity, compliance and regulatory controls. During FY2026, it served more than 2,500 customers across BFSI, government and public-sector organisations, businesses and large enterprises.
Financially, ESDS reported revenue from operations of around Rs. 472.21 crore in FY2026, with net profit reaching approximately Rs.120.82 crore.
Of the IPO allocation, 50% is reserved for qualified institutional buyers, 15% for non-institutional investors and 35% for retail investors. The shares are proposed to list on the BSE and NSE on September 4.
The IPO comes as India's data centre and sovereign-cloud markets are witnessing significant expansion, driven by AI adoption, GPU computing, data localisation and enterprise digital transformation. ESDS' decision to direct a substantial portion of the IPO proceeds toward cloud and data centre infrastructure underlines the growing capital requirement—and opportunity—created by India's AI infrastructure boom.
