Google in an alliance with NIIT Ltd. has introduced a training programme for young professionals in India. The Google Web Academy programme aims to bridge the digital skill gap in the country and help students and professionals tap the emerging job market for the online industry.
Rajan Anandan, VP & MD, Google India, said, “As the Indian Internet market continues to show robust growth, we believe a capacity building programme to help young professionals gear up for the opportunity is the need of the hour. Google Web Academy is part of our initiative for emerging Internet economies and launched this in India first. Google has been working with NIIT to offer online advertising programme and offers training programmes to professionals and students in India.”
