New devices aim to simplify video creation for vloggers, influencers, and filmmakers
In a move set to boost mobile content creation, tech brand Hohem has introduced its latest smartphone gimbals — the iSteady X3 and iSteady V3 Ultra — to the Indian market. Designed with both casual users and serious filmmakers in mind, the devices offer high-end stabilization and tracking features in a compact, travel-friendly form.
As smartphone filmmaking continues to grow, these new tools aim to offer users the kind of stability, lighting, and control once reserved for large-scale camera rigs.
iSteady X3: Compact control for everyday creators
Targeted at vloggers, solo travelers, and casual videographers, the iSteady X3 reimagines the smartphone gimbal with a host of practical features. A standout addition is its detachable Bluetooth magnetic remote, allowing users to control the gimbal from up to 10 meters away — useful for solo shooting or group photos.
The gimbal includes a magnetic fill light with three color temperatures — cool, neutral, and warm — and brightness settings ranging from 4% to 100%. Its 3-axis stabilization system, powered by Hohem’s iSteady 8.0 algorithm, ensures smooth footage during movement, while a built-in 205mm extension rod and tripod support more versatile shooting angles.
The X3 supports phones up to 300 grams and runs up to 11 hours on a full charge. Paired with the Hohem Joy App, users can access AI tracking, cinematic shooting modes, and guided tutorials.
iSteady V3 Ultra: Advanced tracking for professional shoots
For more advanced creators, the iSteady V3 Ultra introduces an integrated AI tracking sensor with a 2MP camera, capable of automatic 360° face and object tracking. Gesture controls make it easy to start or stop recording hands-free, while a wireless touchscreen remote offers real-time control up to 10 meters away.
Other features include seamless switching between portrait and landscape modes, motion control, and wireless charging support. Built with a durable yet lightweight frame, the V3 Ultra is compatible with phones up to 400 grams and promises up to 15 hours of operation.
Pricing and availability
The Hohem iSteady X3 and V3 Ultra are priced at ₹12,990 and ₹22,990 respectively, and are available via Originshop.in and Amazon.in.
