Over the past two decades, Intel has built a network of over 20,000 Intel Technology Providers (ITPs) who help the company reach out to consumers and first-time buyers of personal computing devices. “Not only will we continue to drive innovation to make devices more intuitive and easy to use, but we will also work in partnership with the Government to jointly drive innovation for India and set up an ecosystem for the same,” says Rajiv Bhalla, Director – Sales and Marketing, Intel South Asia. Intel aims to empower its channel partners by keeping them well-informed about its latest offerings and developments. It ensures that the channel partners have in-depth and accurate information about the Intel’s devices for which it takes several initiatives to further strengthen the channel market. The Intel Technology Provider program has evolved to keep up with the changing market dynamics so that the partners are equipped with knowledge that caters to the end-user’s computing needs and get feedback from time to time on market realities.   2015 – A year well-planned in advance As Intel embarks on 2015 with a focussed transformative vision of a Digital India, it strives to strengthen its collaboration with the Government of India (GoI) to be their trusted adviser and provide end-to end solutions. “From a technology standpoint, we are entering a 'non-screen' age of computing, where computational power will start powering legacy objects around us, from smart cities to intelligent home appliances. As India strides forward to accomplish its Digital India vision, IoT solutions complete with intelligent computing, secure devices and smart apps strategy will be the core engine to take this journey forward. Public-private partnerships and our collaboration with key stakeholders, ranging from SIs to local vendors, will lead us to build solutions across the key industry,” asserts Rajiv Bhalla. The growth of wearable technology is creating a new playing field for innovation for Intel. To that effect, it recently unveiled the Intel’s Curie module based on the company’s first purpose-built system-on-chip (SoC) for wearable devices. Intel has been actively pursuing the wearable technology segment and 2015 will witness Intel innovating aggressively in the wearables space. Besides, in collaboration with other companies, Intel will bring human-like senses to Intel-based 2-in-1, tablet, Ultrabook, notebook, all-in-one and other mobile devices in the future in a new family of hardware and software products called Intel RealSense technology. However, Intel will also continue to intensify its dialogue with its channel community and strengthen its reach in the channel market.
