To provide high-performance network routing, next-generation firewall and unified threat management capabilities in a single platform, Juniper Networks has launched LN2600 Rugged Secure Router. LN2600 is a hardened device designed to withstand the strongest vibrations and shock.
The router is able to operate in extreme temperatures between -40゜C to +71゜C and relies on conduction, as opposed to traditional fans, for cooling. Hardware-based hierarchical quality-of-service (QoS) capabilities enable mission-critical supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) traffic to be prioritized over the network. Dual-boot root partitions and a Non-Volatile Memory Read-Only (NVMRO) option of the router enable more reliable operations and protection against modifications and theft in remote unmanned locations.
It meets IEEE 1613 Class 2 for environmental requirements for electrical substations, IEC 61850-3 for electrical substation automation and North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC/CIP) to enable secure, two-way communication required in Smart Grids.
The LN2600 is deployed with proven Juniper routing technology, ensuring industry-leading forwarding and routing support even under the most demanding network traffic loads.
The LN2600 provides a hardware assisted stateful firewall, IPsec VPN encryption, and Intrusion Prevention based on the capabilities provided in the industry-leading Juniper Networks SRX Series Services Gateways. As a network edge device, the security capabilities within the LN2600 provide network access protection for critical Infrastructure – whether in a substation, subway, gas or water line, on an oil rig, or on the battlefield.
The LN2600 is available now directly from Juniper Networks and Juniper Partner Advantage Program partners.
