LTSCT showcases a 40-product portfolio spanning national security, digital sovereignty and energy resilience, led by its first Silicon Carbide platform and a fully India-designed BLDC motor controller, with live demonstrations across power, compute and connectivity.

L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited (LTSCT), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, today launched 40 products at SEMICON India 2026. The showcase is themed "Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem."

Portfolio built around three national priorities

The company said the lineup is aimed at strengthening India's semiconductor capabilities in three areas: national security, digital sovereignty and energy resilience. The technologies include secure identity solutions, intelligent surveillance systems, IP cameras and communication products meant for critical infrastructure and strategic needs. The portfolio also targets the growing demand for indigenous compute and connectivity as India expands its data centre and AI infrastructure.

Two milestones: SiC platform and BLDC controller

Two developments anchor the showcase. The first is LTSCT's debut Silicon Carbide (SiC) product platform, a high-performance 1200V SiC MOSFET line built for next-generation power conversion. It is designed for EV fast chargers, microgrids, solid-state transformers and traction inverters, where efficiency and performance matter more each year.

The second is the tape-out of a highly integrated BLDC motor controller, a chip designed entirely in India. It includes advanced protection features that can support longer product warranties. Its flexible architecture lets one platform serve several models, which can lower bill-of-materials costs and help India move towards energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fans.

"A key pillar" of the chip ecosystem

Dr Sandeep Kumar, Chief Executive of L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited, said: "We firmly believe that India's next growth chapter will be driven as much by digital technologies as by megastructures. LTSCT is how we back that belief with investment, engineering talent and long-term commitment. As the India Semiconductor Mission works to build a trusted, self-reliant chip ecosystem, LTSCT is designed to be one of its key pillars, bringing decades of L&T's engineering discipline to a sector that will define India's technological sovereignty for the foreseeable future."

In line with the Semicon 2.0 initiative, the company said it is working to take semiconductor design from innovation to scalable, market-ready products through closer collaboration across the ecosystem.

Live demonstrations across product lines

At the event, LTSCT is demonstrating its portfolio in real-world applications:

·         Analog and mixed signal: an integrated BLDC controller and an in-house designed USB-C GaN charger.

·         Compute: an indigenous Vision Camera SoC that combines advanced image processing with on-device AI acceleration, and a Secure Identity Platform for e-passports, payment cards and national ID systems, with hardware-rooted security and cryptographic acceleration.

·         Connectivity and RF: four indigenously designed modules for smart metering, automotive applications and digital payments, including the LCC43 Dynamic QR and a Soundbox proof of concept for NPCI's proposed Trusted Device Layer.

·         Power discrete and high power: MOSFETs, diodes and bridge rectifiers, along with LTSCT's first in-house SiC power modules and devices.
