Logitech unveils Signature Slim Solar+ K980 keyboard with light-powered, cable-free design

Logitech has launched the Signature Slim Solar+ K980, a new wireless keyboard powered entirely by light using Logi LightCharge technology. The device promises uninterrupted usage, sustainable design, and multi-device compatibility for modern, clutter-free workspaces.

Logitech has announced the launch of its new Signature Slim Solar+ K980 wireless keyboard, powered entirely by any light source—sunlight or artificial light—eliminating the need for traditional charging. Built on Logitech’s proprietary Logi LightCharge technology, the full-size keyboard is designed to deliver a seamless and intuitive experience for users seeking simplicity, reliability, and modern aesthetics. The device can operate for up to four months in complete darkness once fully charged.

“Even the need to think about charging can be a distraction, so we designed Signature Slim Solar+ to take that off your plate completely,” said Art O'Gnimh, General Manager of the Core Products Group at Logitech. He added that the light-powered feature clears desk clutter while maintaining comfort and elegance for everyday productivity.

Sustainability at the core of product design

Aligned with Logitech’s Design for Sustainability principles, the Signature Slim Solar+ integrates 70% certified post-consumer recycled plastic in its graphite variant. It also features a specially engineered rechargeable battery with a lifespan of up to 10 years, removing the need for replacements and reducing environmental impact. The ultra-slim profile and modern layout further enhance workspace aesthetics by minimizing visual clutter.

Enhanced compatibility and customization for modern workflows

The Signature Slim Solar+ offers multi-device and multi-OS compatibility, allowing users to seamlessly switch typing between up to three devices using Easy-Switch keys. With the Logi Options+ app, users can personalize key functions, set Smart Actions for workflow automation, and access their preferred AI tools through an AI Launch Key. The keyboard features scissor-switch keys, a familiar laptop-style typing experience, a full-size layout with a number pad, and customizable F-keys.

The device is also supported by Logi Tune and Logitech Sync for IT management and works with Logitech Flow when paired with compatible mice.

The Logitech Signature Slim Solar+ K980 is available in a Graphite colour option and is priced at INR 12,295.
