Kobian has announced the new version of its mTAB Star upgraded with the latest MTK8377 chipset from MediaTek. It is built with dual 1GHz Cortex A9 application processor from ARM and PowerVR Series5 SGX GPU. It offers MediaTek's proven 3G/HSPA/Edge modem, and runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With the integration of MT8377 chipset, mTAB Star performance has boosted by up to 40% compared to single-core platform.

mTAB Star is expected to be available by the third week of December and comes with 1 year warranty.
