Supertron Electronics has announced its expansion plans to open branches in Goa, Coimbatore, Jammu, Siliguri, Surat and Parwanoo by this year. Â Supertron now plans to enter the telecommunication sector in the handset category and will now have a projected group turnover of Rs.1,300 crore.
According to V. K. Bhandari, Chairman & MD, Supertron Electronics, "With a vast reach and a complete understanding of domestic IT market, Supertron's proprietory brands Supercomp and solitaire at present occupies a considerable market share of the PC components among domestic brands in India. We have helped various international organizations to establish their footprints in the Indian domestic IT market." He further added, "After seeing the growth opportunity in the Indian telecom sector, we are planning to enter the mobile handset category as a part of our diversification plans.
