With a view to delivering a new Security Management Service, WatchGuard Technologies has announced that its unified threat management (UTM) platform will be integrated by KYOCERA Document Solutions Japan. The new service will allow small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to print a variety of security visibility reports directly from WatchGuard's security solutions through KYOCERA's multifunction printers (MFPs) and copiers. This will allow SMB customers with little or no dedicated IT staff to streamline security management and reporting.
"Many SMB customers do not have the resources for a dedicated IT or security professional, yet they still want to ensure their network is secure. This partnership takes the best-in-class reporting capabilities of our UTM platform and allows KYOCERA MFP customers to directly print standard visibility reports through the digital operations panel of a MFP, which is an industry first," said Scott Robertson, Vice-President in Asia-Pacific and Japan, WatchGuard Technologies.
This new integration will offer SMB customers a simple alternative to more traditional security operation and management, and includes five standard reports: Rejected Packet List, Virus Detection, Content Filtering Block, Web Access List for Each Client, and RED Block.
