Yahoo! has launched Yahoo! Mail Beta, a faster, easier, safer and more social communications experience that helps its mail users around the world to be more engaged, productive and connected than ever.
The sleek new interface is consistent across all desktop, mobile, and tablet devices, including Yahoo! Mail experiences on PCs, iPhones, iPads, Android phones and more. Yahoo! Mail Beta also lets people connect with friends across social networks like Twitter and Facebook and through improved instant messaging and texting tools right from the inbox.
"With an increasing number of new Internet users in India using this as a primary mode of online communication, whether they access the internet through a PC or a mobile, a faster, lighter, safer Yahoo! Mail Beta will significantly enhance their experience," says Kakul Srivastava, Vice-President of Communications & Communities product management, Yahoo!
India being a strategic market for Yahoo!, the company has pinned its hopes on starting in a big way all over again. If Google excels in being the most popular search engine today, Yahoo! boasts of its rich content as the primary thing that gets it going. Unperturbed by the huge competition coming in from different quarters, Yahoo! has set itself a strategy for the Indian market that finds no parallel.
