McAfee has announced its Trust Digital enterprise mobility management (EMM) platform for devices running iOS 4, Apple's newest mobile operating system, providing a seamless upgrade path for existing Trust Digital EMM customers. The company has also announced that this platform will be delivering Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities. McAfee has announced the close of its Trust Digital acquisition on June 3.

It is not just about mobile email anymore - for enterprises it is now about mobile apps and the challenge to secure them and the corporate data those apps are accessing," said Todd Gebhart, Executive Vice-President & General Manager, Consumer, Mobile and Small Business. "The Trust Digital EMM product and the support of MDM capabilities for iOS 4 address that challenge today. Already, we are leading the industry with a product and road map that offers enterprise-grade security and manageability."
The McAfee Trust Digital EMM will support devices upgraded to iOS 4, which will also be available as an upgrade to existing EMM customers. The EMM suite includes features such as transparent configuring and updating of device settings, as well as monitoring and enforcing compliance of corporate policies such as blocking modified devices, enforcing device encryption and providing wiping/locking capabilities.
